On Wednesday the 4th of March, a major presence in Utopian politics announced it would disband. After holding a leadership meeting and informing its kingdoms of the decision, Covenant ceased to exist as a formal alliance. With Covenant already disbanded, discussions concerning the resolution of the ongoing alliance war with Absalom were left up to individual kingdoms to negotiate.
Covenant, a top charting alliance since its foundation in Age 34, had a starting lineup of Puffy, Warsong, Force, Ascension, ZZ (Zenobias Zealots), and MLP (MyLittlePony), with Sleepy also joining it the first age. Its original leadership has been dubbed the ABCD leadership as it was made up of AMP, Bravado, Cheese and Danne. Although it was a new entity, its roots were partially in eXodus soil - eX having disbanded not long prior and Covenant featuring some of the same leaders (Cheese and Bravado). Even so, it did not include all of eX's kingdoms, a fact that led to some resentment from former eX kingdoms including 7th Horde. Covenant was a merger in its beginning between CSB and eXodus.
<AMP> It started when cheese and I started talking about bringing a new alliance to Utopia, who could give some interest to the alliance game, since eXodus was having a rough time and basically only ABS was around. I was in ABS at the time, but i wanted something new. It was never intended as an anti-abs alliance, something many like to say

Covenant (known as C or CoV to friends) aged '9 Ages', passed away non-peacefully on Wednesday the 4th of March, 2009, mid-Age 42, surrounded by allies, enemies and friends. R.I.P - you will be chartly missed.
- Age 34. In their first age as an alliance Covenant excelled on the charts. Zenobias Zealots (2:27) won the age with a total of 402,225 acres on 79,928,297 gc networth. On the networth charts Sleepy is Covenant (10:34) finished 10th, Warsongs Covenant (27:4) finished 13th, F O R C E Covenant (8:24) finished 16th, and My Little Pony (22:29) finished 20th. On the honour rankings Warsongs Covenant (27:4) finished 9th.
- Age 35 Warsongs Covenant (26:12) ended the round 7th for networth with 33,571,294 gc, and 8th for land with 186,009 Acres.
- Age 36 TIVOLI Covenant (1:35) finished 9th on 30,327,066 gc nw. Tivoli and Force came 11th and 12th on the Honour charts respectively. Tivoli also won the combined charts.
- Age 37 Two Covenant kingdoms achieved a top 5 finish with BeWare (12:5) coming in 3rd on 68,044,352 gc and TIVOLI Covenant (9:3) coming 5th with 53,513,722 gc.
- Age 38 In 7th place for networth was BeWare Covenant (6:16) with 59,073,294 gc, while Screwups Covenant (13:36) finished 10th with 41,147,431 gc nw, and X Covenant (14:37) ended 18th with 20,986,457 gc nw. The honour crown went to DEMENTIA COVENANT (20:36) with an impressive 106,747 honour points. Tivoli, Puffy and Screwups also finished in the top for honour. Covenant razed Demonic Curses for honour farming.
- Age 39 In 2nd place was BeWare Covenant (21:17) with 267,763 acres and 44,570,301 gc networth. Ranked 6th for networth was X Covenant (19:32) with 30,787,895 gc, closely followed in 8th by TIVOLI Covenant (14:30) with 28,589,735 gc. Also finishing in top 25 were Screwups (24:25) 21,961,650 gc, F O R C E Covenant (20:24) 18,681,505 gc, Whispers Covenant (22:9) 17,146,745, and P u f f Y Covenant (12:32) 17,012,036 gc.
- Age 40 Screwups Covenant (16:6) took the honour crown with 96,722 honour points.
- Age 41 9th, 10th and 11th for networth were all Covenant kingdoms with TIVOLI Covenant (5:40), Box (4:3) and Screwups (1:36)

At the end of its days, Covenant counted the following kingdoms amongst its fellowship: Screwups, Tivoli, Dementia, Beware of X, The Devils Angels, Sinners Freedom and Bogers.
Quickly establishing itself as a strong presence in top warring and chart events, CoV has long been seen as the counterpart and rival of Absalom. Enmity between the two titanic Alliances was as frequent as it was inevitable, culminating eventually in the recent war. As is true no less in Utopia than in life, war has many casualties. While both sides will argue bitterly about who was right or wrong leading up to the Awar, these events have proven an old adage true: "War does not determine who is right - only who is left."

Is it me or CoV could not keep even 1 kd from starting lineup? Imo it's a clue to why Cov would disband sooner or later.

Guys cut some slack to the reporters already. It's not like they report on widely acknowledged and verifiable facts, they report on the events of a dying community in an online text-based game.

Utimes has done a good job reporting news on what goes on in the Utopian world, and I can only imagine how much time and hard work they put into these articles. If the article is inaccurate, and the CoV leaders approved it, then knock on THEIR door, not utimes.

As far as I know the kingdom I play for now was part of covenant alliance, but I cant stop thinking why some random flamer like Snow was part of it... Glory to who deserves Glory, kudos for hanging up there for all that time and for being a challenge against another giant.

I'm failing to see the problem with this article. According to uTimes, this article was ok'd by three separate Covenant leaders. If there are any factual inaccuracies, they are obviously unintentional. I'm also failing to see how this article can be construed as either pro-Absalom or anti-Covenant. Exactly where is the bias here that I assume all the flamers are complaining about? I mean, you go around every news article remotely related to an Absalom kingdom and whine about how others don't get any news articles. Well, here is a news article dedicated solely to your own alliance, and you whine about that too. And of course, anyone pointing out that there isn't anything wrong with this article is denounced as an Absalom puppet. Some people would get the idea that you're just whining about everything related to uTimes or that you were just throwing around baseless accusations stemming from blind biases.

However here my short view on things with covenant...
why i think it was good to disband...
this age start was great for cov and imo if it wouldnt have come to awar etc. cov would have done best this age as alliance compared to others.
however overall the alliancewar showed that noone liked covenant, 2 alliances and almost all top kds went on abs side... so why stick around :D ... the other main reason i guess was why be in an alliance just to stop a different one from domination. We did all our share for fighting abs... those days are over now. Cov kds love to war and stuff and not just to think about fucking banks or networth whoring or even worst thing in game dicing... and we can go back to the roots of the game to just play it. Not caring who we fight.
The game is in abs hands now ofc. With their connections to omac and only top alliance around they can dictate the game. But there is also bad things about it as the more they dominate the faster the game will die. However that wont matter for now.
Overall i enjoyed the time in covenant very much and it was a great group of friends. For all the great kds that were in it at the end... if i had to choose 8 kds to be in an alliance with i would choose those 8 that were in cov :D
Sadly those days are over though... and there wont be a successor alliance.
Gay to have such a stupid post up here... may cheese or someone care to post something better on a different side or so.
