Some of you may recall that in the spring of 2006 there was a massive meeting on IRC, organized by AllianceRankings, with most of the notable players of Utopia present (see here for the AR announcement, here for logs, and here for mIRCstats). At one point some five hundred players were present in the channel, and one had to disable the join/leave/quit notifications in mIRC to make the discussion legible.

Introduction

Some may have wondered why this age ended up with such a controversial title. Was the Age of Rebirth meant to define the re-awakening of undead in the WoL and Genesis servers? Or was it an attempt by OMAC to capture and lull the attention of Utopians living on the edge between Utopia and reality? Or perhaps, for some kingdoms and alliances in Utopia, it was a time for a change? But that's for you to figure out - in the next age of course.
