Around March YR9, Copy Cats (16:8) waved Warsong (8:4) for land. Both kingdoms agreed to a ceasefire on May 15th after two days of hostilities. Immediately after the ceasefire, Copy Cats received eight hits from Fratzia (6:18) followed by thirteen more hits over the course of seven hours. At the time, Fratzia was around 20% larger in networth than Copy Cats, whose armies were out during Fratzia's initial wave. Copy Cats decided to retaliate and subsequently engaged Fratzia in 2-3 days of hostilities. Their plan was to wear down Fratzia's provinces with ops, as they had two full T/Ms as well as a complement of hybrids. They endeavored to keep Meteor Showers and Riots on as many provinces as possible - a tactic that continued during war.

The Age of Rebirth ended on August 3rd, 2009.

In the days leading up to January, YR9, Revolution of Lotus (9:38) was looking to pick a fight. After a successful campaign and a rebuilding fake war, Revolution was on the prowl once more. At the same time, Xiphos, then tagged as SmokeSssssss (17:29), was taking it easy and enjoying an age off. Revolution, coming out of a period of low activity during their fake war, settled upon Xiphos and began an ill fated revolution.
